Renovations have begun!

Monday, November 30th!  Came home after work, Stewart (Alan's sisters hubby and great carpenter) was still here.  All the horrible fancy crown moldings = GONE!  All trim around the doors gone as well.  Stewart told me all the paint, new trim and crown moldings would be picked up in the morning and he would bring with him tomorrow.  OMG, hope I chose the right colors!

New counter top is on order, the replacement windows (2 for now) and screen door will be in shortly as well.  This place will finally start to come together.  We have the new vanities for both bathrooms as well as the new ceramic tiles and granite counter tops.

I started to take some pics of the before and after!  So excited to post when I get enough of them!  Hubby is just leaving Mississauga now, been a long day for us both!  Monday's....tuff day!

It's Been A While!

Certainly has been some time since I posted on my blog.  We got moved from Calgary back to our home in Ontario.  Quite the long distance move.  Our stuff barely fit on the truck.

We are still not unpacked!  We are getting some major renovations done so we have been busy on the weekend picking out paint, vanities, counter tops, appliances, taps, etc.  It will look amazing when completed.  The work starts Monday!

Still busy at work....I still work for Calgary and do my job from the Oshawa office.  So nice to work where you like to live.

We were on vacation in October.  Spent 2 weeks at The Oasis resort in Palm Springs.  Beautiful place and the weather was fantastic.  Saw Bob Hope's house (from a distance) and spent some time in Joshua National Park.  Spectacular scenery!

Winter tires on both vehicles yesterday....actually 2 months later than you need them in on in Alberta.  It is mandatory they are on the vehicle by October 1st, if you are driving in the mountains! From talking to people at the office, it's been darn cold and storms already!  Snow and bad driving conditions.....no thanks!  Glad we are here.

Off today to the Santa Claus parade in Fenelon Falls.  Visiting with family and friends will be fun!
