S E R I O U S L Y !!!

Well times are changing....believe it or not, we had snow this week...but next week could be worse!  The forecast for next Tuesday is a whopping 4 C...translated = COLD!  With the possibility of the white stuff = SNOW!

Special weather statement in effect for:
City of Calgary
First snowfall of the season possible on Monday.  Summer will stick around for one more day in Southern Alberta before an intense cold front moves through on Monday.

This cold front is currently producing rain over Northern Alberta. However, for many areas of Western Alberta an unseasonably cold Arctic airmass will cause rain to change to snow on Monday. Current guidance suggests over 5 centimetres of snow is possible for these regions.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

Tom Graham of the Prairie Storm Chasers tweeted this picture of snow in Highwood Pass in Kananaskis Country today. The high-elevation area is located near Upper Kananaskis Lake.

Well still no word and once again my patience is wearing thin! LOL.  I really would like to exit Dodge before the winter sets in. My boss was off this week so it was a little better.  One girl starts at 8:00 AM showed up one morning at 8:30 and the next morning at 9:30...reason...traffic! My thoughts...LEAVE EARLIER! Kindergarden was different this week...but that's a whole other story!

Alan's sister leaves for Tuscany this weekend for a 3 week vacation.  We have 3 weeks to take before the end of the year but who knows when I'll be allowed to have the time off!  Request = Denied!  Here are pics you might enjoy!

Tough Days Ahead!

We were in Ontario for Alan`s nieces wedding on August 29th.  The bride was beautiful and her sister Kate was stunning as well.  There were approximately 200 people in attendance and the bride arrived in an ATV...*(it was an outdoor wedding complete with hay bails and cattle...LOL)  Here are some pics you might enjoy.

On Saturday, August 30th, we went to the house in Bowmanville...first time I`ve seen it since April 2014!  OMG....I am so upset over the condition of the inside as well as the gardens and exterior of the house.  The entire house needs works, paint, repairs, new carpeting!  The gardens will all have to be redone and started over.  The swing is wrecked and so much more!  In short, not what I was expecting. There is even a broken window in the garage door...WTF!  An email is in order but I`ll let someone else write it because I wouldn't b e so kind!
Glass is broken or missing but it is gone from my stereo set.  What a mess!
How do people live like this!
The TV that was on the wall in the living room
Hole in wall in master!
Overgrown and not taken care of, this will all have to be removed and redone and why are there beer bottles in my gardens!

Back to work tomorrow and I already have a headache and feel nauseous,...I can`t do this much longer.  I have 60 major projects on the go...another lady in the department has 1....how is this right!  I have tried to get another job but every time this company finds out I am blocked from leaving....even within the company.  The ONLY way for me to get out now is to quit.

Well the weather has turned much colder here...high over the next few days is something like 12 or 14 with the low one night going down to 2!  Winter is coming and this is the last place I want to spend it.

We have 3 weeks vacation to take before the end of December (or loose it) but every time I put in for a week, guess what...denied!  I practically begged for 1 day off and it was three weeks top get the 1 day approved and even with that I got a lecture!

Well I better run and get the normal stuff done before the day is over and the alarm is set for another day in `paradise`...NOT.

Have a great week everyone!

Turning Colder Already!

Well the low low last night was 9 C or 48 F and that is cool for the beginning of August but I have been told you can get snow here this time of year.  Great!  As if  I don't dislike this place enough already, add some snow this time of year!
Aug. 7: Golf ball-sized hail caused extensive damage to vehicles and homes in the Airdrie area late Thursday afternoon.
Calgary is the HAIL capital of Canada!  Damages from a storm earlier this week!
    Hail the size of loonies!

I was very disappointed this week, I didn't get the National Accounts Coordinator position I applied for and my better half and I know why.  IF I had to go back to Ontario to work, they would have lost someone else and that wouldn't be allowed.  This is the second job that I didn't get on account of the same reason!  More changes coming this month at work, just don't know what they are!

I have 1 more day off planned, a 2 day trip to Ontario for a wedding and then nothing else.  I still have 16.5 days to take vacation but every time I submit a request I get denied....so not sure when I will be allowed to take it.  August 29th, fly to Ontario and back here August 31!

Nascar race today...go 24 Gordon!  He is doing great this year. When we were in Vegas at the M & M store, they had Kyle's car there...one of my fellow bloggers is a Bush fan so I'll post a picture for her!  (Carol, here you go!)

Somehow some way, we will make it happen!
Have a great week ahead my friends.

On Sunday morning we got up early to head back....went through Glacier National Park....the scenery was amazing and YES, there was snow on the "Going-To-The-Sun Road".

Along the way in Glacier National Park
    MORE to come!  Stay Tuned!
    More scenery!

Tomorrow is back to work...one person in my department was let go just before I left on Thursday...and more changes coming this week.  I am DREADING going to work...,.not where I want to be. That miracle of getting out of here better happen real soon!  Alan just asked what I wanted to do the rest of the day.....I said start packing our chitt!  LOL  (PS:  no news on the job I applied for yet).

Have a great week my friends, will post more on Glacier in the coming weeks!
